12 Dwellings, Little Orchard, Hook

A unique development on the banks of the River Ouse for a private Client.

A project that tested Clayfield's designers and site personnel. The project team were responsible for negotiating the approval of the scheme with the Environmental Agency, Local Planners, Water Authority and Highways Department of the local County Council.

The project involved the design and installation of a pump station that discharged the surface water run off through a rising main that passed through the flood bank to outfall on the banks of the River Ouse.

Clayfield's designs incorporated 3 storey terraces to the riverfront properties that enabled the purchasers to take in the views of the surrounding vista looking over the picturesque river.

The remaining four and five bedroom detached houses, Clayfield's completed all their works through their own directly employed labour and apprentices except for standard sub-contract packages.

Clayfield's were also responsible for the site management and construction of all of the roads and sewers to the development.

Local labour and resources were used by the project team where possible, and a number still work with ourselves today.
