CLAYFIELDS TO DELIVER 2 PROJECTS IN JANUARY 2012
A scheme of 14 houses at Seaton Place in Sheffield will be certified as achieving Code Level 4 under the Code for Sustainable Homes Accreditation Scheme. The scheme has been designed and built by Clayfields, working together with one of our regular Clients. Clayfields will be handing over 9 new disabled bungalows at Jump in Barnsley for another regular Housing Association client who are in partnership with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. The scheme achieved a Code Level 4 in its assessment for the criteria of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The natural steep gradient of the site was particularly challenging for achieving the disabled access requirements on the project. All of these issues were resolved by the project team to deliver a successful scheme to our Client.CLAYFIELDS FIRST CODE LEVEL 5 SCHEME IS TAKING SHAPE
Clayfields first Code Level 5 scheme for the Code for Sustainable Homes is taking shape at Ellesmere Road, Sheffield. The scheme is being designed and built for one of our framework partners. The striking design helps to give these energy efficient homes a contemporary appearance with mono-pitched roofs orientated for optimum solar gain being one of the many features.BEST SOCIAL OR AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
This month our site at Newton-on-Ouse, York was put forward for the Local Authority North and East Yorkshire Excellence Award.
We are delighted to have been awarded the "Best Social or Affordable Housing Development in recognition of high standards of construction and workmanship.
Well done to Bill Murray who was the Site Manager on this scheme.
This award means a lot to us, since it reflects our companies culture of providing the highest quality product for all our Clients.
This scheme was also Runner Up in the RIBA Yorkshire Design Awards. Again we are proud since it was a design and build contract.

FURTHER AWARDS AT CONSIDERATE CONSTRUCTORS 2011
Carrying on from our recent successes Clayfield Construction are proud to have been selected for a Bronze Award in the 2011 Considerate Constructors Awards.
The award was presented to John Roberts for the Bellbrooke Avenue project, which was highlighted for its environmental approach and the care shown to neighbouring residents.
TOP NATIONAL AWARD WINNERS
Clayfield Construction attended the Considerate Constructors award ceremony in London recently. The Scheme recognises outstanding achievements in companies with regard to the consideration of its workforce, its neighbours, the environment and safety. Over 7,600 sites registered with the Scheme last year with only 7.5% of sites winning awards.
We were delighted to receive a Gold Award at the ceremony, however, we were overwhelmed when at the end of the ceremony we were presented with the overall top award for having the most Considerate Site in the United Kingdom. The award winning site was the T4 Project, Beevor Court, Barnsley for Yorkshire Housing.
This award is only presented to one company each year, signifying exemplary standards. Given the competition from National Contractors, we are obviously very proud of this award.
