Doncaster Direct Access Hostel

This project was carried out on a traditional contract with a full design and Bill of Quantities provided. The mechanical and electrical elements were contractor designed. The project Architect worked closely with our in house Architect to achieve an effective design both financially and to achieve customer satisfaction.

The site was contaminated and required remediation by the use of a Japanese Knotweed barrier. The foundations were piled to a depth of 8m.

The building has an internal floor area of 21000 sq ft on two floors and includes Offices, Reception Areas, Dining Areas, Commercial Kitchen, Recreation Spaces and Communal Areas. The building also incorporates a Vehicle Workshop which was constructed as a steel framed building.

Other features of the building include car park areas, landscaped gardens, underfloor heating and a variety of external finishings.

All the brickwork, joinery, plastering and groundworks were carried out by our own in-house tradesmen and we received tremendous feedback at the opening ceremony in the presence of the local Mayor.
