This project is a 2 storey building giving a total of 4,980 sq ft space. It was let as a traditional contract with drawings and Bills of Quantities.
The foundations were 3m deep trench fill, and the ground conditions were very poor.
The building incorporated Offices, Communal Kitchen, Recreation Spaces and Bedrooms.
The electrical and mechanical elements were contractor designed and included underfloor heating and a ground source heat pump to produce all the heating energy for the building.
The design of the building was unique and provided open and light spaces within the building, a decked terrace area overlooking woodland and car parking to the front with a decked bridge leading to the entrance door. The external walls were clad with Larch boarding, which created a building that looks unique and modern.
This scheme won a Gold Award under the Considerate Constructors Scheme and also won the very prestigious award of "The Most Considerate Site in the UK".
